WHY SHE IS AMAZING: Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, Alexis noticed the lack of diversity in her profession and decided to act. She is the co-founder of ‘Causing a Stir’, a non-profit aiming to elevate the careers of the underrepresented, women and POC into hospitality industry world through resources, mentorship, and opportunities. Her mission is to generate the next diverse generation of hospitality professionals. Alexis is a recognized participant in global trade shows, such as Tales of the Cocktail and has honed her skills at renowned Chicago institutions including The Aviary and The Drifter. Alexis’ achievements include: ‘2019 Bar World’s 100 Most Influential Figures’ and ‘Wine Enthusiast 40 under 40 Tastemaker’, as well as being a finalist in competitions, such as Bacardi Legacy, Diageo World Class, and Most Imaginative Bartender.
