Our James Beard Foundation Party hosted celebrates JBF Recognized Chefs of Color around the awards festivities taking place in Chicago. This late-night party kicks off the JBF Awards weekend, which is colloquially known as “The Oscars of Food” with free flowing wine, spirits, and culinary offerings by some of the country’s most trailblazing chefs, including representation from the JBF Awards nominees slate. Food enthusiasts have the opportunity to meet, interact with, and enjoy exceptional cuisine from these leading chefs.

IDE 13 Million Acres begins the conversation and explores the legacy of dispossessed land that African-Americans farmers and Mexican-Americans in the West share. The event is an experiential journey through this theme to be further expanded upon in our podcast IDE Impolite Conversation.
